Was born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia, where he discovered his love for music at the age of 10 when he first picked up the saxophone. His natural talent quickly became evident as he performed beyond the classroom, showcasing his skills with local bands. This early passion marked the beginning of a musical journey that has since led him to embrace solo artistry.

Deeply inspired by the legendary Grover Washington Jr. and the smooth sounds of Gerald Albright, Reggie captivates audiences with soulful melodies and a passion that resonates in every performance. His ability to connect with listeners and evoke emotion has made him a standout in the smooth jazz genre.

In 1984, Reggie relocated from Virginia to New Jersey, where his musical career continued to flourish. By popular demand, he performed at numerous local and regional events, building a strong reputation as a skilled and expressive saxophonist.

In 2001, he co-founded the band Zoé alongside his longtime friend Ron Segers, further expanding his musical reach. Over the years, Reggie has had the privilege of sharing the stage with celebrated artists such as Alex Bugnon, Sherry Winston, Keb’ Mo’, Michael Manson, Vincent Ingala, and Gail Jhonson.

His performances have graced prestigious jazz festivals, including the Catalina Jazz Festival, Rehoboth Beach Jazz Fest, and the Berks Jazz Festival. With an ever-evolving musical career, Reggie E. Harris continues to inspire with his smooth jazz artistry and heartfelt performances.
